Tek fixture leg installation?

This is how I've had mine for two years now. It works well :

Thanks to this thread, I was able to remove the foam inserts i had to tape to my legs so it wouldn't fall off the tank. This just makes so much sense, and i now feel stupid for not thinking of it earlier.

NewSchool, how high off the water do you have the fixture? It looks closer to the water than the previous pics in the thread. I'm just trying to get a sense of how much "play" there is.

Can you provide a "zoomed out" pic if you have one?

It's about 4" off the water, the lowest setting on the legs. I'll post a pic later, can't get into my photobucket account at work.

Did you guys buy the acrylic shield? I think I may need to as salt is creeping up./

btw, i had the same problem with the legs. On the screws, I got 6 but 2 of them were too small to fit in the middle.

I can't hang anything from my ceiling(it's like 20 feet high and slanted) . Is it possible to hang it from braces attached to the wall behind the tank? Also I have a 55 gallon tank. I want to keep some anemones and some easy corals.
A. Is this a good light to get for this purpose?
B. How many bulbs should it have? My tank isn't very wide(front to back). I don't want to get the 8 bulb version just to have it light the floor.

Here's another thing I was wondering. For those using the tek light, do you have a moonlight solution that you've rigged to use with it? If so, how have you done it?
