TEK Lighting Fixture problem

I have a 6x54 Watt Tek Lighting fixture and sometimes two of the bulbs do not come on when the timer kicks in. If I manually switch it on and off it will come back on, any one have a similar problem with Tek fixtures? I disassembled the light to look for loose connections but couldn't find any.

Try turning the fixture on and off without the timer, just the plugs in the wall. With fluorescent and HID ballasts (induction), you have to use a timer that is rated for fluor/HID ballasts, or you may experience several mechanical failures up to and including fire. Most 'heavy duty' timers are good with these ballasts, but its good to check and be sure. Thats what it sounds like to me, since you say that after it comes on, you can switch it on and off manually just fine. Otherwise, If you do this, and a couple bulbs still dont work, perhaps one of the ballasts is bad.
