NIce! what kind of anemone is that? is it one of those nonphotosynthetic ones? Host clowns? I saw one that looks like that @ the LFS but the guy there doesn't know anything about it:rolleyes:
I like it and want to get it .But i'm afraid it'll eat some of my fish (especially my dwarf lion)

Yes... I know the problems with keeping a shark... I really dont feed him much to keep him to a slower growth... the anemone is a condy anemone... its not really a host... but it looks good in my tank... its hardy and the fish know to stay away from him... even the shark is afraid of him... i also have a BTA in there but the clowns hosted in a mushroom... dumb fish in the sea....

Nice looking tank .... but that Shark is gonna need a new home sometime sooner rather then later .... i know ... how about you give him to me when i get a 200 gallon FOWLR tank cycled and setup

im sure we could definitly work something out... but i hatched the shark as a newbie so im kind of attatched to him .... but the moment he outgrows the tank reefcentral will be the first place i go if i dont build a predator tank...

you hatched it? .........
And in the first shark pic. That GREEN coralline looking algae. Is that good or bad? i'm starting to see some of that stuff in my 120( i only have purple in my 55. Looks like the purple coralline but green:confused: . Sorry i'm hella paranoid when it comes to bad algae:D

2 things
1. watch the belly of that shark as it can easialy cause an open wound rubbing on that rock which is NOT a good thing on a shark.

2. your fuge is not a fuge anymore as it has fish in it. just another display tank.

otherwise looks good

why can it not be a fuge bc it has 2 fish in it? i have a nice sandbed in there with LR and a ton of macro algae in the back.... its linked to the maintank with a great light on it... just bc there are 2 fish in it disqualifies it as no longer a fuge...???

Yes I have been watching for the sharks belly but surprisingly enough he has not rubbed it raw on the aragonite yet... ill keep a look out...

The green algae usually grows first and then the purple coraline grows on top of that ... thats how its been thus far...

Thanks for the complements!!!

If the fish don't eat the live pods, then it isn't a fuge unless the macro is in a different area in your sump.

The reason it's called a fuge, is because is a safe place for pods and junk to populate without worry of being eaten :)

aaaaaaaaah do you think the maroons would eat such pods??? im getting rid of them anyway... since it is a display fuge (macro hidden behind the rocks) what fish can i keep in there that wont eat the pods?

well either way I believe that the growth of the macro is on order to keep the nutrients low in the main tank but if your adding waste to the fuge then they will grow off the nutrients in the fuge!? if I were yoiu I would keep to a sexy shrimp or something along those lines!! and just a heads up on the shark, when it is growing it will get to the point where it will start to knock you rock work down.....
