so ive been pondering and pondering on what fish I want to put in my tank and heres a rough ides

valentini puffer

niger trigger

picasso trigger

snowflake eal
zebra lionfish
and then i was wondering what small fish i could put in and if there were and cleaner fish that would be okay

ITS A 90G FOWLR

yeah i just really love triggers. live aquaria said minimum tanks capacity for the two triggers is 50g. any suggestion on some additions smaller fish. and alsolarger fish. my tank is cycling now so i am trying to get a good list going

From what I've read, triggers and lionfish do not mix. The triggers (especially the picasso) can get through the defense of spines by plucking them off and kill the lion. This is not based on first hand experience but I have read it numerous from times from several different sources. Ask some of the seasoned aquarists here on RC about this and check around for articles regarding this issue.

I have 4 triggers (Picasso, Clown, Niger, and rectangulatus (different tank))

They were all in a 50 wide until the rectangulatus got to aggressive and I had to put him in my other tank. Everyone has out grown the 50 wide and I am in the process of upgrading to a 250, which was the plan from the beginning.

Triggers are the most fun in my opinion. Just make sure you have a plan for when they out grow your tank.

Triggers and Lion fish don't mix well...

What about an angel?

A lot... remember... they might be able to fit, but it doesn't mean their happy. They need swimming room, their own space... I'm going through this problem right now, luckily my grouchy trigger is my niger and not my clown.

Triggers can get big fast

Sorry miss read your question... A lot of triggers WILL outgrow a 90g.

Start with a Picasso. I think they are the most socialble of the triggers and most will take food right out of your hand with out taking your finger off.
