Temp and alk swing

Just got back from vacation and there was a problem with my return pump.

Water went to 75F and alk went to 7.2.

I brought the temp up over a day with only one heater then turned both on when it reached 79f.

I upped the alk back to 9.0 over two days.

The RBTA's mouth is ever so slightly open, but it eats and closes it's mouth when it has food.

Am I doomed or will it make it out?

With a drop that size you are most likely going to do ok. Just remember to do things in little steps.

Hopefully you checked ammonia and ph too.

Sitter panicked. Was just missing water in the RODI reservoir. The mouth is almost closed and it's bubbling up again. I think she should make it out fine. The one redeeming quality was that it kept eating I guess.
