temp change - spawn and hatching ?'s

My heater broke and I believe killed my eggs I was ready to gather. It was sending a current in the water, I was shocked. So, the heater down, my clowns didn't lay their eggs on the typical dates. Momma usually gets nice and round and the third day of noticing her big belly, she lays them. Was almost like clock work. And then with the heater gone, nothing. I thought she was a little fat a week ago, and I just found eggs! The last time they laid eggs was 6/4 so I'm glad they are back at it!

Should I expect this delay in laying eggs all the time now? Are the eggs going to be just as slow hatching? What temp or cycle is best? I guess I'm wondering if the eggs can go bad in Mommy if she doesn't get them out and fertilized in a certain amount of time. Or is there a flip side that is too quick of a process? She was laying every 9-11 days, so she really took a while and I don't know what to expect now.

TIA!

A drop in temp would slow things down. The eggs should still be fine, just might take an extra day or so to hatch.

Temp with definitely alter things, it will be like starting from scratch figuring out her new cycle and number of days to hatch. Temp gets too low and she will stop laying, can't say what that temp is though.

The eggs so far, don't seem to be doing very well. From them laying about 300 or more, there's only maybe 50 left at this point :( Is that due to the cold you think?
