Temp Controller 7027/2

I've had this guy for a while and it was working fine up til a couple weeks ago. I came home one day and my fans were not running. I checked the adapter first and it was fine then I checked the controller and notice that the display was fluctuating up and down in temp. I replaced the battery and that didn't help so then I ran it without the battery but no luck. Every time I set the temp to 76 it would channge it to another setting and the display would never read the correct temp. I know this is an old unit but is it seviceable or should I just break down and by a new controller???

It is not serviceable, sometimes this problem, particularly with fans is due to electromagnetic interference when the fan starts, it resets the controller. In this case a surge supressor connected between the fan and socket will sometimes fix this. This is the main reason we went back to analog for the temp controller with the 7028/2, it avoids this reset problem.

I thought it might be the fanat first, but even when I unhooked everything from the controller the display still fluctuated up and down. Thanks for the fast reply though guess I'll look into getting another controller.
