Temp Question

Is 83 too hot? My nano swings from 80-83 day/night. My nem is stressing out, wondering if it's the temp.

83 sounds warm to me, not sure it would be too warm for a nem I mean you're right on the line of too warm. 77-79 is where I like to stay

Ok. Going to work to lower the temp with fans, thanks!

Provided your water is sufficiently oxygenated 83 while at the top end should be "ok"..
If you can lower it to 80 that would be better and give you more of a buffer in any "oops" moments/power loss,etc.....
Many corals are found in waters with temperatures in the 83-86deg F range..

My bad.. I haven't been doing this as long. I should have have thought of tropical waters "big ocean"

As I recall in other threads of yours you mentioned stability problems. I think that is the issue with the nem. They dont like swings of any type (alk, salinity ect....) I would lower my temp a bit and try hard to keep my tank stable for a few weeks to see if the nem improves.

FWIW one of my older tanks used to reach 85, 86 on a regular basis in the summer and nobody seemed to complain. I did have a RBTA at the time too.
