im so glad my tank never needs a heater

my tank never drops below 79, ever. the house is kept at 72, and my pumps add 7 degrees. crazy how 2 mj's, and 2 seios add 7 degrees of heat.

now keeping it cool is another story

Animals have very different requirements for oxygen level, in my best guess. I don't see any reason to let a reef tank drop below saturation. I've tested mine, and that seems to be reasonably easy. Two articles on the subject:

With fish you shoot for a minimum of ~3 ppt, which is still pretty conservative. Corals and most inverts should be fine a bit lower than that.

You simply want the single stage unit. McMaster.com also has them... as well as some other "fish" places. Just look around.

Some come prewired, some do not...
