Would have replied directly (thread 850751) but RC wouldn't let me-- server overload of some kind... I've seen in recent posts that California, an exclusive source of some temperate aquarium critters, is getting even more strict about collection. Oregon is getting tough as well, and Washington is just starting to put the fist down. Many fisheries are even being closed to "personal use," even for "seaweeds." Hopefully more temperate livestock will find its way into the hobby (and widespread aquaculture) before its collection is entirely prohibited. There is presently only one collector on the West Coast, as far as I know of (www.foreshores.net) and one in the Gulf of Maine (www.gulfofme.com).
Anyone hear of sources for coldwater critters from overseas?
