Temperature Effects GROWTH?

Does temperature effects growth? What's the optimum temperature level?

i dont think the temp will effect the grow (the lighting is more likely) but i know it will effect the coral s health if it too hot or too cold will cause them to bleach..
normally people would set it at 78-79 but as long as it in the 72-80 and make sure it has to stable which mean no flucuation then you're good.

I keep my temp at 82. Just keep the temp consistent and you will do fine

I would say inferentially, yes. Many metabolic processes are temperature-dependent. Metabolism of most animals decrease as temperature drops to a pre-determined point. Many bacteria are incubated to speed up growth in the labs. Foods last longer in the fridge because growth of bacteria are suppressed.
You'll be hard presses to find corals in the shores of Alaska, most of them are in the tropics, make your inference. JMO

Whisperer said it perfectly. Yes, higher temps speed up metabolism and the corals will grow faster. However, you never get something for nothing Higher temps, mean lower dissolved oxygen and a much faster growth of bacteria which can cause bleaching in coral.
