temperature probe

My temperature probe seemed to be working good but all the suddenly it started reading 35-55 degrees which of course is impossible. How could it read that far off. What can I do to correct it?

Check for corrossion on the connector, and make sure that it is firmly plugged in.

I checked both of those and nothing new. I even put in another probe and still get a 20 degree reading.

I ran into a similar problem with my electronic ballast affecting the reading. You may want to try and reroute the temp cord and the cables from the electronic ballast away from each other. Once I got these as far away from each other as I could, the temp reading became stable.
