Temporary holding tank

Hey all, im about to transfer my 2 o. clowns, gsp frag, and a toadstool frag from a 46b to a 10 gallon temporary tank while i rebuild the 46b. My question is will a hob penguin filter and a aqua-c remora and a hydor 425gph be good enough flow? Also can i use the old tank water to fill the 10g all the way and reuse the sand temporarily?

i wouldnt reuse the sand and how long are they going to be staying there? It shouldnt be a problem

Agree with the above. 10g should be fine for small clowns but a 20g would be better if you can get your hands on one. I'd watch for ammonia in the temporary tank & get a Seachem Ammonia Alert Badge for $6 so you can monitor it on the fly whenever you want.

I would get a 20g if it would fit on my counter.
