Temporary lighting solutiong for BC 14

So I had downgraded to a BC14 til I can get a bigger tank. Well I had planned on getting LEDs but I didnt get Xmas money I was expecting to in order to get the LEDs.

Im going to borrow a 150w MH fixture from someone and wondering how high off the tank should I put it? Yes I know its a bit much but my SPS arent doing so well with the stock lighting as I planned on ordering LEDs by now, so I have to find a cheap alternative.

That's what I gave you "A cheap alternative", not a zero-cost alternative.

Look again at the post. I asked about the MH cause I found the alternative. I can look up a par38 bulb just like you can. I asked for advice on MH not any other lights to get.

I was thinking that but wasnt sure. Guess Ill have to rig something so I can move the fixture up and down.

If it were me, I'd start high then gradually bring it down while monitoring the corals to see what they like the best
