Tempting fish to eat

I waited 3 months for my fish to arrive but since they went in yesterday they havent come out to eat. They are small (Tryssogobius colini) so

a)how long can they last?
b)how do I tempt them out?

They were eating in the store.
I could try a bit of reef paste or oyster eggs to tempt them before feeding?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I was expecting a post about a grouper.

I don't know why but I thought we were going to list fish we might be tempted to scoop out of our tanks and eat. :spin1:

OP: you could try adding some garlic if you are still having some difficulty.

What type of food have you offered?

As MrTuskfish says, it can take a while for fish to start eating, depending on the fish and the tank. A week or two isn't uncommon. Make sure your lights are dim and they have plenty of hiding space so they can settle in and get comfortable.

I offered calanus (red plankton) as thats what they were eating in the shop, they have little tiny mouths:D
The lights are pretty dim, I did see one swimming round after lights out so Im taking that as a hopeful sign.

As mentioned they are Tryssogobius colini. Ill let you know how I get on today.

I better go have breakfast. When I saw that thread title, I had only two thoughts .... dinner ... and OMG, who'd want to eat their fish? (Although, I do have a rather large Emperor Angel that'd make quite a sizeable meal).
