Hi Gang,
I recently picked up a Tenecor stand and canopy from a gentleman who runs an online distributorship. Apparently he had ordered for a customer and had it shipped to their house. Upon arriving at the customers house it was determined that it was the wrong stain color. Customer refused it and was returned to the distributor. To make a long story short, this stand and canopy sat in this guys garage for a while. It retailed for almost $2300 and I picked it up for $900 plus a 12 hour drive round trip to go get it. The reason that I made this purchase was to accomodate a 240 gallon TruVu acrylic that I had found at an LFS. I picked it and a 5 foot sump up for $400. Now to my question. The stand has a center brace across the bottom of the stand. Is is possible to modify the stand to accomodate the 5 foot sump (change the center bracing)? Also, the canopy is a 7 inch model. Is it possible to modify that to make it taller to accomodate MH lighting? These are things that I should have thought about prior to, but hey it sounded like a sweet deal at the time. The stand and canopy are like new, the stand still had the factory shipping material attached when I picked it up. The 240 has a minimal scratching, drilled on both ends. This could really be a gorgeous set up, I just need to figure out what to do with the sump. Would it be better to leave the stand in tact and go with a smaller sump? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
