I've got the book. Live aquaria had a pair last week, and theyd been there for at least a week, maybe two. They were $799, which considering they had a single at $699 about a month ago isn't that bad a deal.

Brett, these are the best I could find quickly. I know I've seen some better ones via Barnett on FB over the last couple years.

This photo of Tanaka's isn't half bad.

But this one from Barnett is a bit better.

Actually, no. That's a different cousin here. Yes, they're all quite closely related.

Yes, also from the Philippians. They simply haven't been collected with any volume or regularity. Lemon got his via Barnett, but it was amongst only two collected. I'm not sure if they were collected at the fringe of their range, or if the heart of their range hasn't been discovered by the collectors. And couple that with the difficulty of seeing a black, small fish at depth...

My cf. lanceolatus was half the size of the cf, lunatus and somehow caught up and changed colors faster.

My cf lanceolatus is bigger than my 3 cf lunatus...but my friends cf Lance (that I picked up for him, after I got mine), is already looking like a 'super male'!
