Terminal Male Pink Margin Can I add a female?

I have a terminal male Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse. Can I add a female without much worry? I've read that the females can be aggressive.

I have a nice sized acclimation box that is always used for new additions.

He's a beautiful healthy fish (TTM and 4 week QT) that's been with me since June. I honestly like him almost as much as my Lineatus Terminal Male I used to have.

178 gal tank and he's the only Cirrhilabrus wrasse currently in the SPS reef.

I think that the answer is yes but wanted confirmation.

Thanks,

Adam

I would not, personally. The female is likely to change to male causing problems long term (assuming you can find a female as they are not commonly collected). Better to add a different Cirrhilabrus sp. male.

Yes, as stated above. Females are harder to find. U can try given the acc box, but there is a large chance of transition.

A better question is why would you want to? The females are not as attractive, they don't pair up as we think of it and they aren't going to reproduce in our tanks. Save that portion of your bioload for another species that can compliment the pink margin.

Under appreciated fish IMO. they are beautiful. Good luck deciding what to choose. It's half the fun!
