Came across a tesselata a few weeks back that has been pretty badly neglected. She's probably close to 20-24" but very thin. Looked like she's been starving for quite some time and living in a sewer of a tank. I have an empty 55g corner tank that I fired up and got her into it and she looks to be improving. Anyway I know nothing about eel husbandry other than that she's not going into my 300g reef! doing my reading and research currently. I realize the 55 is way to small but its better than what she was in. For those of you who have keep these eels, whats their growth rate like? I'm working on a a new tank but need some time to plan and purchase a new tank setup. What kind of timeframe am I looking at before the cramped 55 becomes a major problem for her health?
