what is some good test kits that are not a lot of money. my tests i need are for corals and anemones. i have a test kit now it read 5 when it was 50. is there a good brand name. is hagen a good brand name. links would be great.
thanks puffer21

I only use salifert. You can find them for sale on most of the sponsers sites. I would hate to have some cheap tests cause me to save money to only spend it replacing dead corals.

well is there anything a little cheaer and i have that last test kit but the nitrate read 5 when it was really 50.

How did you know that it was really 50? Did you test with another test kit? I use the AP Saltwater master for the Basics and Salifert for Calcium, Strontium, iodine and Alkalinity.

Tests that show obvious colorometric results work fine on test strips for qualitative purposes. They are not so good for quantitative determinations.
