Test Kits?

Never tried them, Ralph. I learned a long time ago that it was better to spend $20.00 on a Salifert kit than throw away $13 or $14 on something sub par. I'm in that habit now, and have not used anything but Salifert for a couple of years now.
For all I know, IO makes good test kits, I'll probably never know from first hand experience though.

Larry,

I used Salifert too. I never even knew that IO made test kits, so I was just curious if anyone had used or heard of them.

It's news to me, too Ralph.
I wasn't telling you (or anyone) that IO test kits are no good, I guess I just felt compelled to tell you why I didn't know if they were any good.

Here's an interesting tidbit. According to a newly purchased IO ammonia kit, my recirculating systems at work were running .4ppm ammonia. So I took some water samples up the the water quality on campus and ran some tests for me on his autoanylazier, guess what? No ammonia, zereo, nada, zilch, but the IO kit said I had .4ppm
