Why are you cycling rock anyways the tangs will cycle everything, I can't believe you were ignorant enough to actually cycle anything.... newbies I swear! Toss everything in there and start feeding and adding corals....

You obviously don't know what your talking about.....
1. 20 full grown tangs can easily fit into a 10g... its .5 fish per gallon silly!

2. Skimmers are only needed if you underfeed. If you over feed you don't need one all the extra food will absorb the nutrients, and the tangs will eat the food and grow to x times their "normal" size (x being the amount you over feed).

3. Salt water tanks do not rely on salt.... therefore salt is not needed at all.... purely optional

Toss everything in there and start feeding and adding corals.... oh yeah all the tank lighting they sell in stores is a joke, all you really need is a window in the room to let in daylight :D

The usefulness of this advise is in the title of this thread...

My Tang police comment was short a picture:

OMG, just laughed my a** off, you guys are an inspiration. I agree with another poster, there has not been nearly enough questions answered in this thread. Can anyone tell me the shortest amount of time it has taken a thread to split? And btw, I have 2 cats, one female, and one male. I know it's a male because it constantly licks himself. Also, he is always running away from the female.

I’m actually going to question your knowledge on this... Where did you get your information from? the back of a victoria secret catalog?

First off if you were going to have 20 tangs in a 10 gallon your skimmer has to be rated for a 40 gal.

And it doesn't matter if you overfeed or underfeed because the fish only grow to the size of the tank they are in.

However, I agree with you on 2 things. The more corals you have the better the tank looks. and healthier it will be

and the lights. I hate when I hear people getting dooped into spending cash on needless lights... they are IMO a waste of money

Sorry fishoutawater.... I don't know the shortest time to a split but I think we are working on it with this one... Half way there!!! :D

Holy fish detritus! I just noticed we've been rated, surely this means we are on our way to passing, something, sometime, soon. Can I put a lionfish in with the tangs?

Listen I don't want to get in a shouting match over this and I don't think it was the OP intent to have people name calling.. so just bow down... tell me I’m right and let’s move on

Duh, but only if its full grown, and you put a large angler in with it also because if not the tangs will just eat it.

How could you laugh at such a lie? Tangs are capable of living in cramped tanks perfectly fine w/o problem. I can't believe you didn't know that if the need be they will compact the sand turning it into glass to add onto the tank they are living in to make room for new inhabitants.
