where my rock sat up against the sand in my tank(established for 4 or 5yrs) it has gonna nearly black, but i guess i would say really dark green. I am currently cycling my new tank with this rock, should it just fade off, or do i need to do something in particular to get it off?

Need some help. Power outage has left my tank dead. need to know what can be saved and what cannot. the things that can need some ideas. Like he not so live rock. can it be place in someones refuge for a few days after soaking in freash water for a few or will that hurt the other persons tank. sand i think will be tossed. by the way this was a 220 reef........Been back in saltwater for little over a year had the setup going great. but never had to deal with this before.

purchased a skimmer from them in October and it arrived defective. I could not get customer service to even respond to me for just over four weeks. Since then they have promised a replacement twice, and put me off and put me off. Here it is February and they have yet to do anything.

Just wanted to share a pic of my first saltwater tank. It's been set up just about 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with it. Unfortunately we will be breaking it down in October and setting up a 240. Any way just figured I'd share a pic. Let me know if you have any input on what it's missing.

This came as a hitchhiker with some mushrooms that I purchased. It was about the size of a quarter when we got it and now is the about 4" in diameter with several layers. I'm sorry the picture is a little dark, but it is made up of round threads that are stuck together in nearly a spider web type pattern. It is quite pretty and the fish seem to leave it alone. I was really just trying to see if anyone knew what it was, and if anyone had any ideas on how we could propagate it. Thanks in advance!

am probably two to three weeks from putting it in a tank and was wondering what the best thing to do was. I do have a good bit of live rock that I have in a large cooler with a powerhead in it that will be going in the tank once I set it up

I'm building a 50g tank with a 20g sump and am looking for a good quality in-sump skimmer. I don't need ridiculous bells and whistles, but I like to buy higher quality the first time so I don't end up re-buying later.

Any suggestions for skimmers that would be appropriate?

im new to corals and bought this frag last week, my question is how long does it take to atatch to a rock. I have a rubberband around it for the second time, i actually had it to tight and it went right threw it,it hasnt opened or elongated but doesnt have any slime or look like its dying but it hasnt attached to anything yet.

I'm getting ready to start a 40 gallon tank. I'm curious to see what people think how much light I should have. I want to use metal halide. Dimensions are 36 x 18 x 13 Tall. I'm up to mixing halides with t5 ho also. What do people think??
