Just found this link reading through one of the photo forums. Its a good way to test your eyes and your monitor. Got a 4 the 1st time around on a calibrated Dell LCD. I should try it again on my laptop.

8 on the computer I'm currently on. 39 on a computer I was on earlier. I wonder which of those needs the monitor calibrated.

I've done this test by hand, and I can tell you that it is definitely tedious.

Huge difference.
I can get 0 on a calibrated monitor. I got 3 on the one I'm on now. I couldn't get below 30 on an old monitor that's never been calibrated.

Sicne people are mentioning calibration, how does one go about doing that?

There are many different tools out there but the one i use is a Pantone Huey like this: http://www.buy.com/prod/pantone-hue...-pantone-huey-meu101/q/loc/105/202220755.html

Its basically a gadget that you attach to your monitor via suction cups when you run a calibration program. The program will flash a series of different colors in different shades and the sensor will detect and correct those colors so they show true. If your monitor is old or really off, this tool will help your scores. It was amazing how much my "self-calibrated" settings were off. I must be colorblind or something.
