Testing out Reefkeeper- heater control

I picked up a used setup with a broken reefkeeper lite (i knew it was broken).

I would like to use the RKL, but just need to figure out what part is broken. When I plus in the powerstrip, I get an orange blinking light. When I plug the control panel into the powerstrip, i get nothing on the screen. Don't know if its the power strip or head unit.

Anyone have any ideas? Temped to buy a new PC4, but if its just the head unit, I am sure i can pick one up used for much less. Dont want to spend more than needed, since I really only plan to use it for temp control.

Does anyone have any other temp controllers they recommend? I loved my Ranco years ago, but they are so large, and this is a small nano tank without much space for equipment.

Heater is a flat Cobalt, which seems nice, but have never trusted built in controls on heaters.

Sounds like the version of the software on the pc4 is older than the head unit, but it's challenging to diagnose. You can try to update the pc4 and see if it works. If that doesn't work I would contact digital aquatics. I had a similar issue, well out of warranty, and they fixed it for me at no cost.

Plugged the Sid in and it started workings, didn't even download anything. Really weird, but it's up and running.
