What type of salt do you use if you are not testing?

I make 30 gallon batches when I do mine. I use Instant Ocean & I already know its going to need about 70 ppm of CA & aprox 150 ppm of MG. I dose the CA up with DOW flake & raise the MG with Epsom salts & MAG flake.

I only test the salinity to make sure its at 35ppt or 1.026, beyond that I don't test anything else. I don't boost them up enough for it to be a concern.

I don't really test it. I'll test my water about 24 hrs after a water change.

I use Tropic Marin. I only test for alk/calcium and I'll do magnesium maybe once every 3 months.

I tested Tropic Marin Pro when I first set this tank in Nov, the water was 100% new.
