I've got the chance to get one of these wrasse which seem to be quite rare in the trade, but the thalassoma group in general get a bad rap.
I can't find much about this particular variety, so don't know if it's as bad as the rest or what. Look at butterflies, they aren't all the same.
I want to keep it in a 200 gallon sps tank which has a number of wrasse, butterflies, anthias, hawkfish and a few odds. Wrasse wise, I have a couple of fairy wrasse, a radiant and a small leopard with a view to add an exquisite in the future.
I'm not worried about crabs, shrimp or snails since I barely have any anyhow.
It's rarity is a big attraction.
