Thank you very much for hosting this month meeting. It was a really good meeting. It was very nice of Cameron and his wife to open up their beautiful home to us crazy reefers. We did not mean to drive your wifie out of the house for the afternoon, Cameron. Sorry about that. Please give her our best regards.

It was great to see all the familiar faces and some new faces, as always. We had a number of new folks (nice to meet you all). It's great to have new people. New people certainly lively up our meetings. Sorry I cannot remember all of you guys names. We really need to get individual pictures posted on our website along with our names.

Did anyone take pictures of the meeting by any chance?

Tomoko

We had a good time too. Thank you Cameron for hosting us and for sharing about your tanks with us! It was good seeing you all :)

Also, Thank you, Tomoko and Buzz for the zoos. I hope these take off and really grow fast !!! They are so nice !

Thanks folks. I enjoyed having everyone. Thanks for all the goodies everyone brought (reef stuff and food, that is).

Don't worry, we didn't drive my wife out. She gets tired and it was just time for her afternoon nap...LOL

I agree we definitely need to get the pictures going on the site. We were so busy swappin' frags and additives that we didn't take the time to discuss the site. I can always recognize most of you but can't always remember your RC handle or real name. I could have taken a few head shots of everyone at the meeting and had half the list knocked out. Let's not forget to take some photos of members at the next meeting. If anyone has a pic of themselves they can e-mail it to me and I'll get it posted on our site. I'll go ahead and post mine so we can see how it will look.

Also, if you haven't filled out the member list request form yet, please go ahead and register with the site and submit the member list request form. This way we can have a more complete list of all of our members. I know we have some very active members that still haven't added their names yet.

EARTH TO H@RRY!Hey!Has anybody heard from H@rry lately?Missed him at the meeting And I haven't seen him post any lately.

well, i have to tell you guys--for the first time being there, i felt very welcome. i learned more today than i had in the three months of visiting LFSs, surfing the net and reading books. i never understood the whole 'heat' thing until i put my hand under your lights. i didnt understand the under-tank fuge siphon break until you guys explained it (no, not the first time you explained it...the THIRD time...but now i get it). [insert ten other things i 'got' today, such as my first plant (cheato from b-bob)] i also felt so good, i added a sally lightfoot to my tank after the meeting. y'all feel free to mentor all you like! thanks again!

Great meeting Cameron. Thanks for hosting!
Sorry I had to cut out early, but it was my daughter's birthday.
I really appreciate BeaslBob and Tomoko for going to the trouble of getting a bulk supply of calcium and magnesium and for being willing to share it.
Mariner

Hi Mariner,

I just realized that I should have you given you more Calcium Chloride than I did for the amount you paid. I got enough money to cover the cost and I still had some more in my bucket. I will bring you some more the next time I see you.

Sorry for the double posts.

Buzz - Your Eagle Eyes frag is looking great. Thank you very much. The zoa look pretty much like my Eagle Eye but quite a bit smaller right now. I am sure the individual polyps will inflate to a much larger size in a little while, though. How does my blue and green zoa look in your tank?

Tomoko

Tomoko the zoa's look awsome!I have 4 HO t-5 and 2 NO floresents now 1 blue+,1 50/50,2 actinics,1 6500k and 1 10,000k the mix looks awsome and you can see the bright green zoa from across the room.
THANKS!
Buzz

Sorry we missed the meeting. Sounds like you guys had a big time. We just got back from Branson last night.

Tomoko,
If you would like a frag with larger individual polyps I've got several.I just thought that frag with the small laid down polyps was neat.

Buzz!

Hi Buzz,

The frag is fine. Don't worry about it.

The size of zoanthid polyps has a lot to do with the amount of light they receive. If you put them in less light, they will stretch out to expose more area to harvest more light energy. I see this all the time. I am sure the frag will soon acclimate to the new light condition and looks even prettier. I can always move it to another location, too :)
