Big thanks to Mary and Morgan for hosting a truly Tri-County,
Tri-MarineAquariumSociety event!
It was cool to hear about your humble beginnings to an unqualified success. I appreciated the thought and planning that went into the total system design and I admire and respect your entire apporoach to the hobby and industry.
Be sure and put in a good word on behalf of SCMAS/MASLAC/MASVC to the new owners of SeaCrop.

ReefHotSpot was quite an operation and very clean display quality setups. NicoleC (Fish Yenta) was even impressed by their ethics toward fish sales, so that says alot about them!
be sure and check them out at www.reefhotspot.com
mark off several of their items as sold to SCMAS/MASLAC/MASVC members until they get a chance to update their website!

Doh! batteries charging on the digicam! will post pics of my haul soon.

Yeah, now if I can keep that pipefish alive... I have much research on wild caught pipefish to do tonight.

A few photos. First, the group gathers:

Some hearty, healthy breakfast:

On to the tour. Mary shows us where the water is pumped up from the ocean, and the whys and hows of when they pump water and when they are sure not to. The pipes go out 75 feet.

Inside the metal pipes are their PVC pipes.

It's a PVC farm! The PVC pipes run to the pump house on the right.

The pump house:

A small little pump, and a hose to check the water or let it run clear. The water is pumped under the parking lot back to their facility.

Back at their facility, the holding tanks for the water, 1000 gallons and 500 gallons.

Their filtration system, including UV and a diatom filter.

Finally, inside the green houses.

Ooops... no more photos, I was busy spending money!

here's a cool tunciate that I got from SeaCrop:

it's yellow with purple striations. It opens and inflates on regular basis. I hope with my mature tank, large refugium and ample feeding of tank, I can supply enough food for this filter feeder to survive and grow.

here is a cool bright green lobed finger leather I got from Reef Hot Spot:

it complements my 'Leatherarium' quite well!

So out of all those bags that I carried home with me on the train, this is what I actually added to my tank (hafta get WarDaddy to post all the others)

I have trouble taking decent photos under the PC in my nano QT, but here are two of the lobophyllias I picked up at SeaCrop and the little extra something from Reef Hot Spot.
