I am writing this for no other reason but to brag on the RODI unit I bought from Zach.
I bought some new filters from Buckeye, along with a pressure gauge, and TDS meter. I have been taking advantage of the warm weather to make up as much water as I can.
As I have stated before I have a well, but when I installed the gauge it starts off at about 44psi and settles up to about 52psi after a few minutes. I installed it inline like BFS showed, right before the RO membrane. I think it has a Desal membrane in it, and at that pressure, I probably need to upgrade to a Dow Filmtec over the long haul.
My water temp coming out of the unit is right at 70-73F. I know that will change tomorrow when the temp drops, but I have way to heat the water coutesy of Melev's website. We will see how it works.
My tap tds is 110-115ppm, and coming out of the unit it is 0-3ppm.
I am very proud of the unit and the accessories I purchased for it. I have always wanted a RODI unit, and now I have a setup with all the accessories, including a float valve for around $130.
I am very happy with the deal and the unit.
