Thanks For Great Swap (now, what the heck did I buy?)

I have done 10-20% water changes every 4 days or so. In the 24g I have the MJ 1200 with a Hydroflo. It seems to move pretty strong all aroung the tank.

The 2006 24 deluxe came with a surface skimmer. It is about the size of a cassette tape and seems to keep the surface nice and clear.

Others have said add more cleaners. Between 3 or 4 more hermits all the way up to 16 more snails and 8 more hermits. What do you think?

Thanks.

My aquapod has 2 MJ 1200's... I have probably 6-8 hermits, 10 cerith/astrea snails and 4 nassarius... As far as skimming goes, I block off the middle 4 middle slots of the water intakes and only have water pass through the bottom and the top sections... In the top section I have a sponge set to act as a surface skimmer... I also have an aqua c remora protein skimmer in use too... I do monthly 25-30% water changes...

Use a tooth bush, It looks like a water flow issue. Move flow around and remove as much of the algae with a air tube suckout the algae. It looks more like low ox level. How long do you live the lights on need water test. How long has the tank setup? weekly water changes/ trace elements? pc/ hm ? temps

Larry,
I have a pair of Ocellaris in the aquapod, a pair of Clarkii in the 135 and a pair of Fishboy GSM's in the 75... :) Ashley likes the clowns... Did you get my e mail about your stand and canopy???

Randy

Oh, ok, whenever you get it, like I said, we can help each other out... I doubt I'll make mine out of solid oak though... lol :) Mine will be ghetto Home Depot... But thats ok... 617 8780 If ya need to get ahold of me...

Hey, what's wrong with ghetto HD? All my projects get nice warped HD poplar, so I pay for crappy wood on top of the time I spend looking for less crappy wood:D.

lol Nothing wrong with it... I'm going to be wearing it out... My 75's canopy is made of that same crappy *** wood.. :)

Back on topic .. :)

I have been changing water, have standard 24 nano lights (72w PC) on 8 hours a day, all params normal, temps stay 78-81.

I think this is just a combination of my feeding too much brine and adding all the new coral.

So ... how do I get rid of this stuff? Add more cleaners?

thanks.
