Where did you buy this crocea? It is amazing! What color combination is that called?

kinghokus420, have you noticed any change in the jade dots from when it was new? i ask because i have a crocea with similar coloring but not as many jade green dots or as much gold brown, all of which have been disappearing, yet the small blue speckles and overall ground color are as strong as ever. i'm pretty sure i didn't place it close enough to the t5's but can't move it as it's attached to a porous rock and slightly dug in so i can't reach the b threads to cut them either. my other crocea which is closer to the lights hasn't changed (never having any jade green coloring), it's violet/some blue teardrops and dashes and a bit of gold coloring from when it was new.
Peter Chefalo, i got it to attach to a high ledge by temporally placing long plexiglass rods into the sand forming a fence around the rock so the clam couldn't fall.

Here's my gigas clam. Nothing that will wow you to death with color but people definitely notice his size. He's enormous. Sorry that my pics stink, but I'm getting better at it!

Also, I know you only wanted 1 or 2...but I am going to post a couple and let you pic the one YOU like best, if in fact you like my clam.

These are all of the same clam.

Those are definitely some excellent looking clams.
My collection isn't all that special. I have 26 clams right now and I don't have a good camera to take pictures of them.

Anyone in the Socal (South Bay) area want to come take some pictures for me?

I think that is the ONLY crocea I have ever seen that I actually want. I've been called a Maxima snob because I don't like other clams. However, yours is right up my alley. Here's a shot of my Maxima from last night.

I got that one from a friend who moved several years ago. He still sends me e-mails to check up on it :) I also agree that maximas are the ultimate as far as clams go. I just cant find a nice one of decent size. I have zero success with the little ones that are available. It is a shame. I can remember about 10-15 years ago, you would somewhat regularly see awesome ultra ultra three or four inch maximas. I can't remember the last time I saw nice non-teardrop maxima over two inches in the lfs.
