The 120g Cube build

Live rock purchased and sitting in a trash can in the laundry room. Live sand also brewing. I got a steal on this stuff, the guys wife came out while I was checking out the rock with the guy selling it.....this is the conversation that followed...

Guys Wife (looking MAD!) "Are you taking it all?"
Me "Probably not, it's more than I need... I'm just looking at it for now"
(In my mind I'm thinking, THIS ROCK IS AWESOME... but, it was all about the poker face)
Guys Wife "What will it take for you to take it all?"
Me "I dunno, it's not really the kind of rock I was wanting"
Guys Wife "How much is he charging you for everything???!!!"
Me "$2 a lb."
Guys Wife "We'll take $20 for everything including the sand I want it out of the house!!"
The guy was speechless. I handed him $20, and loaded it all in my truck. As I was about to get in the truck, I handed him another $40 and told him he should probably buy his wife some flowers. He laughed and told me he agreed.

Soooo, I'm pretty stoked on the 150lbs of rock, and 150lbs of sand. Decent color, nice size pieces. Sand looks good too.... now comes the painfully slow part

75 GPD is just not fast enough....

LOL, nice deal on the rock...I never seem to be at the right place at the right time. I am always a day late and a dollar short.

Thanks, the stand turned out ok. The canopy on the other hand is making me a bit mad. I'll get around to fixing that this week...

Thanks! She is a great dog! Definitely loves helping me with whatever project I have going on. The lab was also "helping" he was just further out of the photo.
