Spazz, Nice tank. No wonder everyone's fighting for a seat around the table!
that tank is just a holding tank i put together while im getting the new 300 together. this tank is in the basement. the 180 was in the dining room. that tank was nasty looking and flood prone. thats the reasen it was taken down.
i guess i shouldnt have posted this here its side tracking the real thread. sorry energy.

Are you still planning to use a coast to coast style overflowon your 300? I'm interested in doing the same on my future tank but I havent found much information on it.
Thanks Yetiman

yep i love the coast to coast. it improves the overall flow to the tank. i have my closed loop running through the coast to coast too. i feed the skimmer off the over flow box for better skimming. you can feed alot of equiptment off the overflows if designed right. skimmers, chillers, media reactors, closed loops, ect... i try to gravity feed as much as posiable so i can spend more on lights and water quality.
the 300 will have alot of the same fetures of this tank along with a few new ones. i will start a new thread detailing these new fetures when i start building the tank. look fir it in the next couple of months.

epoxy resin

Energy,

Awesome tank, and thanks for sharing. I wonder if you remember the brand of epoxy resin that you used for your rock works.
I went to HD and they have 20+ different kinds. It would be nice if you could help me with this issue.
Thanks again

I don't remember the name of the epoxy resin. Sorry. Nice Vids Lunch - How's your tank doing? Did that frag take?

Man, that tank must be unbelievable in person. Eric, those videos worked for me where the ones you uploaded in the past did not. Glad I finally got to see them.

I love the stingray. And all the SPS! :inlove: I bet the worst part is removing a coral you wish never was put in the tank, that ends up being invasive.

Aquamend is the epoxy most people use from Home Depot. It is most commonly used for attaching frags to live rock, but it can be used to secure rockwork. It only comes in smallish tubes.

I have seen some folks using apoxie sculpt.

Hey Shutiny, I responded to your PM, and your box is full.

When you are in your Private Messages tab, there is a box on the upper right hand side labeled "Jump to Folder". Select sent items, and delete those messages.

For some reason I can't see the videos still. When I click on them it comes up with a page with a ton of garbled stuff. Can anyone just email them to me?

A page full of characters means your browser is trying to handle the file but it can't. You either don't have quicktime installed on your computer, you do but there is a problem with it, or your browser thinks it can handle quicktime movies when it can't. Try installing(reinstalling) quicktime (www.quicktime.com) Another option is to forget trying to watch them in your browser and just save the files to your harddrive and watch them. (no matter what you're going to need a functioning version of quicktime on your computer)

In case you don't know how to save a file from the internet to your harddrive, try holding shift down when you click the link.. OR.. rightclick on the link and choose Save Link Target As.. note: menu wording may be different from browser to browser.

I used fiberglass resin to coat the styrofoam. The stuff in the previous link is for mounting frags. Different stuff altogether. This winter I might try to post construction pictures for everyone. I photo documented the entire construction process to share when I had free time. I might be able to get some photos of the fish room at that time as well.
