The Babies Are Here!!!!

As fascinating as that sounds, I won't be raising the next batch. If daddy holds babies again they are on their own. (Please, no flaming. :D ) It's a LOT of work and I'm going back to school next month (yeah!!!) so I won't have time to fuss with any new fry for a while.

Awesome! I see my little fella is thriving!!!!

He can't wait to go to his new home! He's getting a little sick of his siblings.

The babies are 11 weeks old (yesterday). They are all doing well, except one just started showing signs of not wanting to eat. So I'll have to keep an eye on the little guy. But, every one on my list is still ok because my friend has decided not to take one. Here is the updated list (as of right now I still have 16 little Bangaiis).

Total: 14

I'll post some new pics in a week or so. They really don't look much different from the last pics.

Another update on the list:

I still have 16 babies. The one that was not eating seems to have started eating again, so maybe he'll make it.

If they are not all spoken for, I would like to be added to the list for 1

Thanks for the support! I don't regret doing this, and I'm sure when I have time to do it again I will have more survivers now that I know what I'm doing. :p But, starting next month I'll be working on my AAS in Radiologic Technology, so I'll be busy.:eek2:

Hey Wendy these bad boys up for sale ???
Are we waiting for 12 weeks ???

Well, they are still very small and not all of them are eating the frozen cyclopeez, so I'm still hatching BBS. If you have BBS on a regular basis I may be able to let you take yours when you are ready. I would just hate for it to die soon after you got it home.

ooops carry on little lady I ain't got no BBS

 How quickly we change our minds.

Frank, the expert on Bangaii Fry, usually lets them go between 60-90 days. We are on day 82. So, I am going to buckle down and work on getting these fry on 100% frozen by March 6. That will make them 13 weeks old (or 91 days).

So all you parents get your tanks ready, because I would like to have all of them gone by the end of March at the very latest.

12 Weeks old

12 Weeks old

Yesterday I started the morning feeding with only Cyclopeez. Most of them seemed to do ok with it, some stopped after a few bites realizing it wasn't the BBS. This morning I did the same thing, no BBS, and they seemed to do better this morning, eating with more enthusiasm. So, from now on all morning feedings will be just Cyclopeez. And the afternoon and evening I'll combine BBS/Cyclopeez. I'll slowly starting taking away the BBS and see how we do.

Here are some updated pics from yesterday. (12 wks old)
