The Best Coral for a Clown Fish

I was wondering what the best coral for my percula clown fish would be? I know that this question probably has been asked alot but I can't seem to find the page where this would be. I have a 10 gallon nano.

Thanks for any recomendations.

If your Perc was Tank raised I think you will be lucky to find that it will host in an Anenome. I have a mated pair of False percs that host in nothing except for the side of one rock. I also have a friend with a ocelaris that hosts in almost anything. At one time, it was hair algea. (He had alot of it). Now it is hosting in a Hammer. I really think it is hit or miss.

90% of the time percs wont host anything unless a carpet anenome. If it comes down to hosting a carpet anenome its about a 50% shot at hosting....

I added a rbta to my 10 gallon and my pair of onyx percs didn't go near it. I know have my 3 sexy shrimp hosting in it. My clowns lstarted hosting maybe 3 days ago on a 3 headed frag of frogspawn.

Allright thanks for your help. I will try to keep him or her without any host and see how it goes. It's a 10 gallon so it will be the only fish in there. I didn't want to get a anenome because I didn't think that it would work out very well in a tank this small.

Thanks a bunch

Mine host an open brain. Ill give you some advice that someone gave me when it comes to clowns just be thankfull they arent hosting the power head.

My clarkii loves my carpet anenome. The only bad thing is I really can keep any other fish. I had a yellow tang that lasted about a month. Woke up in the morning and the carpet was spitting him out. But they are very cool if thats all you want is a clown.

Dont you mean an Anenome??

Steve

I though anemone's were coral just further down the scientific classification ... but I think you're right anyway ... he must be thinking of an anemone :p
