The best moonlights?

I bought some moonlights from a popular auction site the other day but I was rather disappointed with the colour. The sellers page had a picture of them looking like this:

...but they had more of a blue/green look like the ones in this pic:

Can anyone recommend some moonlights that actually look like the colour in the first pic? I was also wondering what a proper UV blacklight would look like? Or would that be harmful?

Any tips/experiences with moonlights would be most welcome! :D
Thanks!

MY R2'S look like the top picture, but only buy one light bar I bought a set that had two and it was too bright I had to disconect one of them, So I have a back up now, but they are beautiful.

I tried the Lebos lights, but thought they were too blue (nice lights, strictly personal preference), so I sold them and got the Current USA moonlights. I'm very happy with them. They give the tank a nice white shimmer.

I'd post a link to them, but I'm not sure if it's allowed.

Both seem pretty bright for moonlights. I would recomend maybe a single VHO actinic if you are looking for something bright.
I was wondering about the brightness… I don’t want anything too bright, seems to miss the point of being a moonlight then. I do want the corals to do that cool glowing thing though. Will actinic’s still do that? At the mo I have a white and actinic but they are both fixed into the hood and can’t work independently, shame.

Ooo those LED ones look nice! We haven’t got anything that fancy looking in the UK. Guess I could ship some US lights over and get an adaptor though. Hmmm… :)

Excellent to know that there are lights out there that give the effect of the first pic…I was starting to think it would only be possible with photoshopping :D

I should clarify. I don't think mine is too bright. I was just meaning not to put like 6 of them on your tank like some reefers do.

if your running halides youcan use a solar powered spot light led. The ones they use outside. I use one and have it pi=ointed on an agle down towards the tank.
