thanks guys

tony

ill keep you posted, if youre ever down this way, then pop in for a cuppa

and here is a few of the various holes in the tank

this is the vortech box, allowing the flow to be passed from top corner at the rear of the tank, down to the bottom front opposite corner, allowing the vortech box to be sat inside a dry chamber

vortech1.jpg

also shown here, in the rear right of the tank and in the next photo, next to the weir box

rightcorner.jpg

overflowbox1.jpg

the weir box also shows the 2 x 63mm overflows and the 40mm feed back to the tank, this is replicated on the back of the tank on both sides

the next pic shows the closed loop feed chamber, this contains 2 x 50mm bulkheads, these will have strainers on them and will feed 1 x ITT ag series pump on each side of the tank

which in turn will feed an oceans motions 4 way, each side of the tank

and in the next picture, you can see the front and mid sand seperators, these allow the sand to be laid in the centre of the tank keeping bare bottom behind the rockwork aswell as a bare front three inghes running the full length of the tank

this will prevent sand from being picked up when cleaning the tank and scratching the acrylic

hope this will help identify some of the tank layout

its not much,

but the doors are on and the plasterboard is finished, they will finish skimming tomorow

and hopefully get on with the rendering, then i can paint it

but i did manage to get this shot, of my youngest climbing into the fuge, trying to chase the cat

What a wild tank!! Is the fish room seperate from the rest of the house? Will the tank be viewable from all sides??

The sand barrier is a neat idea!!
