How are you guys getting so much skim? I have the 100 and I don't get that coffee colored yuck that other people are getting.

If you're running it in a small tank with a light bio-load, then it probably won't be able to pull out much yuck like the larger tanks since there is not much to be skimmed.

Ok, well in less than 7.5 hours, the BM100's Atman pump has stopped working. Unplugging and plugging back in wouldn't restart, and blowing in the airline while plugged in also wouldn't start it.

I've pulled the BM100 out of the sump now, and put the NW110 back in... I'll have to take the BM100 apart, get the Atman out and take a look at it.

Seems like I have the same issue as dmorel did with the BM100

I see what our saying. Just put the water level lower. Thats what I was doing but I wasn't getting any skimmate. I put the valve back on and have it tuned to skim the same amount of sludge as it was pulling out water. I am not touching it again....lol. This thing has been working great, its blowing away the old deltec mc500 that I had.

Sure would be nice to see some pics.

I have been running my 100 for a good 3 weeks now. I love the skimmer, the only thing I'm concerned is the pump. So far I occasional re-start issues (meaning fails to start first time and starts on the second attempt, I haven't had the need to blow on the airline yet) but since some users are getting dead pumps I'm concerned on the longevity of the atman.
Anyone knows if there is a replacement option?

Skiles, a new needlewheel and ceramic shaft is in the mail and you should receive it shortly.

Some of the needlewheels on the BM100 are loose hence causing rattles and cracking of the needlewheel. This problem will be addressed in future batches. Please keep in mind this only happens to the Atman pumps and we have not yet received any complaints on the Aquabee.

Chris,

I sent you an email. I'm starting to have noise and restart issues on mine as well (BM100) I also asked you if there is another option other than the atman pump.

I will send you a new needlwheel which should fix the noise issue. We have one year warranty on BM products, should you have a defective pump please email us at support@nuocean.com and we'll issue a RMA for repair/replacement.
The Atmans PH2500 are the same pumps as ViaAqua 2600.

any updates on this little guy?

This skimmer runing on my friend 30 gallon tank he have there only 2-3 damsels (it's new tank) and the skimmer skim .

if you want to know if it's good so i have aqua c , jebo , seclone , and they not come close to what this skimmer doing.

since the impeller to big for 110 volt i cut in the first row every other pin , the adjustment take a while but it's skim very well . i hope they will do also for this wider neck since this MJ1200 with this impeller can handle on wider neck , and i think that this little hang on skimmer is great skimmer .

should do^^^

reaking in is just the pump getting used to its bearings and there fore over a week or 2 the pump is able to run with greater speed. there fore increased air and probably decreased bubble diameter.

im proud to announce i will sonn be part of ur club,. i will be getting the 250s!

nuocean:
You seem to sell theese. can i ask you why is the 250s better then the 250. because the 250 seems to have a bubble diffusor plate that covers the whole bottom.

mavgi

Do you have any pics of the skimmer running on the 30gal?
I have an Excalibur skimmer and a Pro Clear skimmer running on my friends 75.

I would like to compare.

Mavgi and anyone else who knows:
Also, what impeller do you have in the MJ1200(if not stock) and what type of venturi are you using for the MJ?

His brother merried... and they fly to Cal. when he will back i will ask him to come in to make some photo....

The impeller come with the skimmer , also the venturi to you just need the 1200 and you swap the original impeller to the pinwheel....

Yes, in my pic you can see why. Seeing as they are run external it's good to have a longer piece to reach where you want sometimes.

Also don't ask nuocean any sales questions we don't want him to get banned. He cannon promote or recommend his product whatsoever. Just as whatever question you have and we can chime in :)
