The building of my 350 G tank

WK 3 - The tank is cycling well. The Amonia went to 4 now is back in 3, nitrate is higher at 80, and nitrite is at 1.5... I am pleased with the cycling and hope it will get there in another month or so. I am not doing anything to the tank other than adding water for the top off. My shrimp is looking interesting...

Not entirely sure I followed your comments about the tank level, however, depending upon the floor, it is not uncommon for the weight of a filled tank to cause said floor to deflect slightly. Thus, a tank and stand that was perfectly level when empty may not be when filled. Maybe not applicable in your situation, but do be very sure that your floor is up to scratch.

Hello Simon the floor is concrete and I think it will be fine since the difference is very small. I researched and talked to a few people about that and they think it should be fine... the level does not even register the difference so I guess we will be ok. ;-)
The floor is concrete on a slab so it should take the weight...
Thank you

WK 6 update : tank is cycled...amonia 0 and nitrite 0 for over a week now. nitrate 2 and phosphate still very high1.8 and a few bumps we had
1st heump turned on too small so we had two double the size and it did not fit in the samp so we had to do one in the sump and one outside since this one can be for both we had the same brand. removing the older smaller one and mounting it today. Also got a cleaning crew of 4 cleaner shrimp, 2 red ones, 10 harmer crabs. this is just to begin it. ww are planing on a lot more to come.
have the fishes in the 90 G and starting the copper treatment tomorrow... nervous about that...

Month 5 - 01/20/2015 - update.
I have been through so much since it all started. what a journey. I had quanrantine my fishes but bought ojne fish and decided to add him within 2 weeks instead of waiting longer and introduced ich to my tank. what a desaster... i had to treat the whole 400g with medication and thank God I did not have any corals in the tank. i battle ich for two month and now it has been one month ich free. I lost a pair of clown fishes(snow flakes), a blue tang, an achilles (painful soffered for a month) and my angel fish. i was devasted when all the fishes started to die. it all happened in one week. one after the other. i cried and learned my leason. i have been one month ich free and now I have in my quanrantine tank 6 anthias, 1 achilles, 1 powder to make su they are cured of ich which they got on the second day in quanrantine... thank God I am quarantining them. They are i the quarantine for two weeks now and will stay there until God knows. i would say another month or two. They both tangs had ich and it now cured with copper and formalin. they are looking realy good and that is why i want to share it... quarantine is the most important thing... MUST QUARANTINE...
so on my DT i have: 4 yellows, 3 royals, 1 Nazo, 1 Sailfin, 1 purple, 6 cardinals, 10 green chromes, 1 firefish, 1 wrassel, 1 angel. They all get along really well. what a blesseing. they are so adorable. Mozart the Nazo is the most gorgeous, Saly the sailfin is the biggest and gorgeous, they all are great.
i will post some pictures...
oh We were cleaning the tank this past weekend and found 3 babies cardinals in the sump... now they are in a ten gallons doing great and eating well... so amazing...

The parameters are really good all 0 and a little phosphate... almost 0 though. i am also dozing Vodka, and that is curing the cyano that i had... I am also runing the carbon and GFO reactors, and UV light too... the skimmer is a monster Reef Octopus 300 rated for a 700G heavy load:-)) i guess i can get more fishes hehehe
