the carp fishing has started to heat up, bass/pike are crushing top water lures. not a bad time to take a kid fishing. a local hobbiest noticed my reef crystal bucket in the photo

it's the canal further east. spencerport/brockport has plenty as well. the fish was the smallest of many that day. a guy i fish with caught a 50lb carp in 2000 from the canal.

Caught this last Sunday! 36" and approx. 12lbs

Pardon the expression on my face...evidently I'm in need of some more fiber!:eek2:

nice gator! had a couple calls with axe handles in the canoe last weekend. dropped one between my legs. barefeet, beer, treble hooks ,and teeth was not a good cobination. my co pilot was to busy laughing to take pictures.

That's awesome!!!! Well...kinda! lol

I caught this one on my ultralight with 4lb test..no leader! It was a riot...fight lasted maybe 10 mins.

Nice Log!

Nice Log!

Wow Justin! That thing's a monster! :eek1: Where the heck did you catch that log?

And on 4 lb with no leader! I've never been that lucky myself! We fish the St Lawrence all the time, and I've yet to catch one that big. I'm jealous!

Thx!

Caught at Conesus Lake on a small 1/8th oz. Spinner Bait. We're targeting bass and pike but since it's primarily a recreational boat it's difficult to fish the docks w/no trolling motor, so we've been just drifting on the deep side of the weed beds.

Quantity hasn't been great but the quality is sure there! I'm fine with that though ;)
