if the bids are hidden and you are on a budget you can't really bid on more than one coral, then if you did not win you did not have a chance to spend the money on some other coral that you wanted. Just my opinion.
Hey y'all, long time no talk
The silent auctions are done at the rabbit shows I go to, raising money for the rabbit club hosting the show. It pays for their next show and whatever else they need. Just a piece of lined paper with the starting price. Everyone walks around checking out the rabbits, writing their bid on whatever rabbit they're interested in. Once time is up whoever bid the most on that particular rabbit takes it home Don't see why that won't work with the corals.
Sounds great except for the 2 people that are knocking each other away from the paper as time expires to place the last bid. From the way some other threads are going around here, I can see this happening.
LOL, you are so right Lee, so how could we negate such a potential outcome? It is a great idea but there would have to be specific rules? How do we keep it from becoming an actual auction in the end or avoid fights?
