no prob at all...got to give it to roy man he's awesome..its amazing how much you can learn about these creatures with just a few tests..

Dr. Roy likes to use the last of his personal copies to bribe us when he is having trouble finding a specific mantis species. Still haven't seen it though so thanks for posting the links.!

well im glad people like the videos i found...its hard to find good documentaries on mantis shrimp..its to bad roy dont put video up of his studies.

Just check you-tube under Dr. Caldwell's name and they'll pop up, or you can check out the ceph forum under "octopus porn" for one of his videos.

I have to say I loved those videos too. Awesome close up shots of the breeding and hunting. I liked at the start of the first one where you just saw Dr. Roy's shadow looming over the beach, like some kind of omnious sign of a mantis hunter approaching. I swear I could hear the jaws music in my mind.

I was amazed at the speed those little guys can dart around at since I rarely see my three go full speed ahead. I forgot how fast they really are because my little buddies never have a reason to take flight in their tanks. Of course the cuttle fish action was an added bonus for me. Anytime I get to see my two favorite animals in the same shot is worth the time to watch.

There is one thing that I've been meaning to ask for sometime but I kept forgetting until now. Has anyone ever been able to get a stomatopod molting on film? Obviously it would be difficult but there must be some footage of one molting in real time. Just curious.

Anyway awesome video posts!
