The Good The Bad And The Ugly – A Reefkeeper’s Journal

just saw this walt have not been on here for a while. very sorry to hear this but what i know about you, you'll bounce back even stronger. love the thielleis also. and Marina hope you dont mind that i copied the info you wrote back a few pages on treating in my big black book thanks

Sorry to hear the bad news. Marina is correct, as usual. Don't go nuts over losing a fish. I know it's a bummer. Just take a deep breath.

I know what you mean. It is very difficult managing multiple tanks. I recently tore down all my small tanks and set up the 150 to hold the clowns. Divided it up into 6 sections (will get down to 3 sections eventually). Much easier to manage. Only one set of equipment. Good luck, Walt. Don't get too down.

I'm in the process of setting up a new system. As much as it is a blow to my collection, it does remedy some logistical concerns. I've been trying to figure out part of the transition with regard to how I would keep these guys on a separate system at temps in the low 70s. I can put that problem off 'till later now.

I'm not gonna throw in the towel or anything. I just feel bad because I believe it to have been avoidable. I give people advise all the time on how to care for these li'l buggers and wind up killing them myself over things I know better than to do. That said, I'm already back in the saddle.

On a lighter note my new system housing my leucs is getting better every day. I was having a major growth of hair algae in the display. After removing the majority of the LR from the sump it is disappearing. About a third of it has dissolved already and the nems are coloring up nicely. I'm not gonna post pics until it looks like something though.
