Hey guys 
We'll I wound up losing a cleaner wrasse, and I have been dealing with the sohal and emp's ich outbreak. The sohal seems to be okay, but the emp is still in recovery. I'm sure there is still lots of ich in the tank, so all I can do is really hope that the emp's immune system bounces back and he can fight it off.
I'll know in a few weeks though.

I have thought about picking one up, but I sold a 57 watt'er last year, and I don't want to really deal with what I had gone through with that unit (ballast went dead 2 times and fried 3 lamps!!)
I think my best chance at really getting rid of the ich will be to pull the fish and quarantine them for a few months while the ich can die off in the display. Not too practical at this point for me, so I'm kinda stuck.
I'm in the camp who believes that there is always some ich in the tank, but if the fish's immune system in healthy, it can fight off the parasite.
For example, my Purple Tang as not had 1 spot this entire time. The fish is quite possibly the healthiest PT I have ever seen in captivity. Its immune system is so healthy, that even after the 3 days of 60 degree temps, the ich doesn't affect it.
I'm really concerned that the emp's immune system just got so low that it might not bounce back.

Jim, why isn't a QT an option? If its just the matter of a spare tank, I'm sure someone would be willing to lend you a 4 foot tank for a while.

Doug, if I take all the fish out, I think it will be best to leave it fallow for a while so that the ich will die off. Thanks though!

QT isn't impossible. I have a nice 100 gallon stock tank I bought last year from Sam. I could use that. I also have the room, but its not going to be a pretty set-up, and my roommates might have to deal with that..... I'd have to get my hands on a large wet/dry and some lace rock for hiding places though. Anyone have these lying around?
BTW, this club is awesome! Its nice to have help, ideas and support coming from my peers!!!!!

I have a bunch of DIY rock that has been sitting outside for about 7 months you can borrow. It should be just like using dried base rock and serve well for hiding places.
