Anyone know if this place is still open. They used to have the best tank prices. Thanks

Hi,

Yes I was in there about a week ago. Stock selection pretty thin.
The guys that took over Pet Junction in Stow have been stocking up their tanks. Some prices are good some are a little high IMHO. Not a bad selection though. I think this is becoming one of the best saltwater stores for corals in the Akron area. No I don't work for them, just relaying some info.

I would agree with Dave, Pet Junction certainly has some potential. Fresh water selection/quality was always good, but SW was always lacking. Last couple of months definitely trying to change. LR is still iffy looking, but if you are there at the right time can find pretty nice stuff, although a bit more expensive than other LFS on Westside. I picked up some nice looking zoas a couple of weeks ago.

+3 they are definitely starting to turn for the good.

Getting back to hutch, they are still open. Was in there last week, they have no coral and the stock was thin. You are lucky if they have what you need, but when they do, it is of good quality and at a fair price. They have alway been known for the quality of thier livestock. And if anyone is intrested, they have a morish idol for around 50.00 if you think you can keep it, it is a good price. They usually die without notice when they seem healthy. Also if you can catch the owner, he will take time to awnser your questions. If he isn't there, don't bother asking his wife or the help. You will walk away frustrated!!! I always try them first.

Now to the pet junction thing. They are turning around and if they keep working with poeple like us (c-sea) they might just make somthing decent for this area.
Frost took in some mouth watering pieces a few weeks ago, wife was with. daaarrrnnnn!!!!

hutch is great when he gets fish in and gets mostly tank raised.... jet junction is coming along though...and has a lot of potential
