Beautiful tank Yano! I just broke down my tank (just had my first child, and now have another on the way), but will definitely be using your tank as an inspiration when I get back into it.

Yano, please take a picture of your tank when its dirty so the rest of us can feel better.... Or even a dirty spot in the tank might help :)

Awesome yano....simply awesome!!!:inlove:
Amazing colors and plenty room for growth!
How do you keep your sand so clean?

I knew this reef was familliar

Love your work sir, I read the article and myself I love the minimalist style of what you did...beautiful

Thanks, maintain a low level of nutrients without altering the correct biological balance of the aquarium is the key to this.

Very thanks!

I would like to know if you disturb (e.g. stir or vacuum) your sand bed from time to time. If so, how often.

Thank you.

No, only in the back corners I siphoned approximately every 3-4 months to remove the coarser grains of sand or shell remains that tend to accumulate there by the suction effect of the vortech.

So can you tell us you average weekly maintenance?

Nothing special, I think .... weekly water change of 5% approx. siphoning detritus of sump.
Clean cup of skimmer, glass (each 3-4 days) and water test (kh, ca, mg and sometimes potassium).
Add elements manually:
- kh daily.
- Calcium 3x week.
- Magnesium 2x week.
- Strontium 1x week.
- Iodine 3x week.
- Fe 3x week.
- Potasium 1x 2 weeks.
- P. Xtra + Aminoacids + Coral vitalizer 2x week.
