Baby steps my friend. Brady steps.

However I did go look at fish at the local shops today. I am starting a stocklist.

GOOD.. Wait... you know this is supposed to be a PICTURE heavy thread... where have the pictures been lately?

I enjoy seeing the ideas and the progress.

So he are some pictures to please the mass (worm). These are some fish I looked at today. Keep in mind I have done zero research on any if these, just the ones I liked.

WOW... If it was possible all of those would look great in that tank!

I have two of the blue hippo's. They are a trip to watch.

OK... how is the QT set up? ready to add some egg crate to keep these separate from each other?

The QT is set up in the garage with the rest of the equipment. For that reason I have a small chiller for it, and it needs to be set up. I will do some research on these guy, narrow the wish list and purchase a few week before the tank cycles. I still have my current inhabitants to move over. I currently have:

Two clowns
Sleeper goby
Molly miller
Clown fairly wrasse
Spotted manderine

We got some similar ideas on stocking. I have 2 baby Blue Hippos in quarantine already. The Sailfin and Naso have also been my favorites, haven't decided on the Naso for this one. I'm a tang guy through and through though, I'm loving the Eibli Mimic Tang currently though.

Is that Butterfly reef safe? I've not had any experience with them.

So I finished drying the sand today and added to the tank. While the sand baked in the sun, I cleaned and plumbed the frag tank.

Very nice... It is getting there. It really is... I like the layout and use of space. How much LR are you going to put in the sump?

Is that a Saab? I love Saabs! They've always made some great looking cars.

The mimic is very aggressive right? Should be the only tang in the tank, so it out for me. The butterfly is one of the two butterfly's considered reef safe. This is coming from a trusted LFS. I will do some research but I love him. He a little pricey at $450.

im liking this build so far...ideas ideas ideas.

Thanks for following along. I hope some of te designs discussed here will help you in the future.

I don't have a clear amount, but the area of the sump I labeled as equipment will be full of it.

It is a Saab! I have always wanted to belong to the Saab club, and now I am. They really do make great cars!

I've read that before but I have previously had a Lemon Peel Mimic Tang and never had any problem with him. Very docile, he was the smallest tang in the tank though and last placed in, so that could have been why.

You'll love that Naso. What size are you planning on getting it?

Man keep an eye on that Tinker. Everywhere I read it eats invertebrates, mushrooms, and zoas. Maybe SPS also. Hope he just told you that to make a quick buck as those fish do demand a high price tag.

I want all my tangs to start a little guys. I want to keep them around as long as possible.

I haven't done any research on theses guys. I am thinking that these are hit or miss, I thrust the the LFS guy. With that said I will be researching all of these fish extensively before they go in the tank. Thank Wayne for your input on the matter, I trust your opinion as much as the LFS guy.

Great looking progress. I really like the "ABC reefs" touch! Can't wait to see how it unfolds
:D
Corey

Thanks for tagging along! The ABC thing was just an after thought. I think it gives it a personal touch.

What build work is planned for the weekend?

This has been my weekend!
