is now in the works. we're planning for July 10, so we need to gauge interest pretty quickly.
We're planning on a trip to Ripley's Aquarium with a behind the scenes tour and picnic. I made some phone calls about it a while back and meant to firm things up a little today but got busy. So...from what I remember and what i found on the website...
If we have a group of at least 10, the rates are:
adults 12 and up get in for $18
kids 6-11 are $10
2-5 yo is $4.00
under 2 is free.
the behind the scenes tour is an additional $10 per person (i'm not sure if there is a discount for kids), BUT the club will cover the tour with the swap raffle/concessions money.
we have to give them some notice, because they have a special tour guide come in and they have to reserve him. they take groups of up to 10 at a time behind the scenes.
for the picnic...i'm thinking douglas dam. i'm going to see if we can reserve a pavilion. its on the lake and there is a beachy area, so if you wanna swim, bring a bathing suit. if anybody has any other ideas on a park/picnic area, we're open to suggestions.
first off, who will be in town and want to go to the aquarium?
