gotosleep Nice tank I was looking at doing a cube in my office of 50x50x48 for 520/g of similar tank as yours. How do you like the aquascaping and size?

That would be a fantastic tank! Would you go viewable on 3 sides or all 4?

As to my tank, I enjoyed aquascaping it very much. 36" wide was just enough. 48-50" would be even better. An issue with 36" wide is that my overflows come in about 9" leaving me with only 25" between the inside of the glass and the front of the overflow. Like I said, it was enough to get things done but I sure wouldn't want to go any narrower.
One of the great things about this tank is the height. Going to 48" really has a lot more drama than shallower tanks. Obviously there is a price to pay and getting to the bottom of a tank this deep presents some special challenges. The good news is that with the right reflectors (I'm using LumenMax Elites) 400W MH bulbs can get a good amount of PAR to the bottom of the tank. My LFS has several tanks this depth that are flourishing with SPS and clams.
